As the striker gets ready to meet the new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou on Wednesday, talks have taken place between Bayern Munich and Tottenham regarding the signing of England captain Harry Kane.


The clubs continue to talk, but they can't come to an agreement and there are big differences of opinion about how much Kane should be worth. According to Sky Sports News, Kane has not closed any options, including staying in north London. However, if Spurs accept an offer, he would be open to formal talks with the German champions.

Tottenham has made it clear that they will not consider Bayern's offer of £70 million and do not want to sell their record scorer.

The fact that Kane, 29, has one year remaining on his current contract may force Daniel Levy to consider a significant sum. Levy is reluctant to lose an elite goal scorer and continues to hope he will sign a lucrative new contract. One thing that is certain is that Tottenham will not sell to an English club during this transfer window, preventing a move to Manchester United. Erik Ten Haag is now focusing on Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund, and Tottenham will not sell.
